Sorrento, Italy

After taking a cool two planes and three trains, we arrived in Sorrento, Italy.    We were pretty excited to visit the Amalfi coast, but Amalfi coast wasn’t too pumped to welcome us.   Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate (you can’t win them all).   It was a little rainy and cold but we were still able to explore the city (on foot) and check out all Sorrento had to offer.   It’s quite beautiful.

Closing time…you don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here

We booked our hotel for 11 nights in Santorini.   On the fourth day, we were told they were closing the hotel and we’d have to relocate to a new place on the island.   We weren’t exactly pumped about the idea but now that we are relocated…life is good (ok, life has always been good but it’s now just a little better)!   The new place is much nicer and we negotiated a few additional perks to go along with it.   Here are some pics of us at our new joint.

Fira to Oia

If you research Santorini, it’s hard not to hear about the hike from Fira to Oia.  It takes a little over three hours and some effort, but totally worth it.   The views were incredible and if you plan it right, the sunset at the end (in Oia) is pretty amazing.   Here are a few pictures along the way.

Our Ride

Greece_029

Public transportation all the time…it’s been a transition.  Honestly, it’s been nice and relaxing, but we needed something in Santorini to explore the island.   Our choice, a pretty rad ATV.  We’ve never been on one of these mean machines, and we are enjoying it quite a bit.
